Attainable Trust provides a supported work environment and a day programme in which people with disabilities can learn valuable work skills and social skills. This environment assists people with disabilities to achieve their goals and utilise their potential. We also encourage people to develop pride in their work and confidence in their abilities. Grants Writer/Website Blogger

(Part time – 20 hours per week)

Do you want to make a
difference by working as a Grant Writer and Website Blogger for a South Auckland charity that helps people with disabilities?

Attainable Trust has grown its warehouse and we need an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.

Grants Writer

Grants Writer Primary responsibilities include (75% of job):
· Preparation of proposals and grant applications, and performance of responsible professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of Disabilities, Education, Community Development, Youth, Events, Facilities, and Mental Health.
· Complete required documentation for successful grants received.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:
· Excellent writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel), and database management skills.
· The candidate must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
· Previous experience will demonstrate a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities; comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for special programs.
· Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related
field.
· Writing experience or familiarity with certain interests or a specific
field.
· Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
· Creativity and adaptability. 

Blogger Responsibilities include (25% of job):
· Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts.
· Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content.
· Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
· Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
· Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization
keywords.
· Inviting other bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute
content to the webpage.
· Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other
platforms to better understand the audience.
· Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract
new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.

Blogger Requirements:
· Writing experience or familiarity with certain interests or a specific
field.
· Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
· Creativity and adaptability.
· Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.

Factory workers

Attainable Trust is hiring people with disabilities to work in its factory Monday to Friday 7:45am - 3:45pm.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • To perform allocated tasks like assembly, labelling, sealing or any tasks assigned by the supervisor
  • To listen to the supervisor's instructions and complete allocated tasks as per the expected requirements
  • To participate in on-job or classroom training as and when required
  • To work as part of a team
  • To follow the Attainable Trust safety rules and code of conduct
